Nice place ...clean , safe ..had it for three years ,price was great...was raised onced last year, which isn't bad in 3 years..and now was raised for insurance , can't afford it anymore so I have to close my unit

I rented here before for a couple of years, and have recently rented here again. This facility is the cleanest self-store facility I’ve ever encountered, and on my recent move-in, the staff bent over backwards to accommodate my (personally mismanaged) move. Pricing is extremely competitive, staff is engaged and accommodating, and I’m not worried about my belongings picking up any funny smells. It’s everything you could want from a self-storage facility!

This is the first time i have ever used a self storage unit so i dont have much experience to compare it with. That said, the facility itself is immaculate and the staff is both knowledgeable and friendly. I was given an amazing introductory offer where i pay for 3 months ahead of time, and for doing so, i get the unit for half price. Along with this incredible monetary deal are a few other perks i was unaware of. You are given the opportunity to use the facility's box truck, for free, for 2 hours... Also can have packages (like orders from Amazon) delivered to the facility and the staff will lock it away in your storage unit for you. The ladies in the front office, Brendalee and Ms Cynthia, have been extremely helpful and are both really sweet. Overall, i am very pleased with my decision to rent from this storage unit as opposed to one of the many others in Freeport alone. Thank you for making a VERY STRESSFUL time in my life a bit more tolerable. -Justin

Brendalee was awesome to work with, patient, and VERY helpful. I had a stressful week coupled with 2x 4+ hour trips to complete the move-in and she worked with me every step of the way to make the move-in as efficient and seamless as possible As for the facilities, there are 2 separate buildings on the compound and my unit is in the new climate controlled space. It's very clean, convenient for loading / unloading, and secure. Exactly what I was looking for! Thank you team for the help throughout the past week! Happy to have my belongings in your facility.

9.8.21: An update to our previous review: Due to Covid, our business has changed dramatically over the last two years. We don't require as much storage space now because we direct drop ship a lot of products. Three months ago I asked about getting a smaller unit, but in the same building we are currently in and on the first floor. Nothing was available. However, David, the Facilities Manager, contacted me last week and said something he thought would fit our needs because available. Not many businesses would notify a customer something less expensive was now available. Most want to sell you as much as they can, for as much as they can! We appreciate David remembering our request and taking the time to contact us. He was also very helpful in physically moving some of our stuff I couldn't do by myself. We kept our old unit in pretty good shape and I did some cleanup myself so we paid no cleaning/move out fee. Most places would probably charge something! Paul, David, Cynthia, Brenda, Rosalyn and Allan make a great team! So as always, I greatly recommend Freeport Self Storage for your personal storage needs AND your commercial storage needs. In fact, the row we are in now is mostly other small businesses, which is great! So if you don't need a warehouse but want to move your growing biz out of your kitchen/garage, check this place out! My father started using Freeport Self Storage at least twenty years ago as a "warehouse" for his food service supply and hardware distribution business. I started working with him about a dozen years ago.My Dad said he chose this place because it was the only self storage facility that would accept packages for you via UPS, USPS, FEDEX, or common carrier such as A. Duie Pyle. If you're just storing furniture or other household items, this is not a big deal. However, if you're running a business and trying to keep your overhead/rent low, this is critical! And based on the number of pharmaceutical reps and other small business owners I see coming and going, we are not the only ones utilizing this great facility as our "base of operations." We have always found the staff here to be extremely courteous and helpful. It's a family owned and operated business, which is very unusual in the self storage industry these days. Most are owned by large Real Estate Investment Trusts; in another words, faceless conglomerates with a corporate office in a low-tax state. Not the case here. Paul, the owner, is here most days, and his son David is here at least five days a week. We know if there are any problems, Paul and David will make sure it's taken care of either by them personally or their top-notch staff who are in whenever the facility is open for business. Freeport Self Storage recently completed a major expansion and we have moved our business into their new building. It's well-lighted, clean, and climate controlled with a nice new bathroom. And we were able to consolidate our two smaller units into a larger one, which will even save us money. They have also upgraded their drainage system to prevent any future flooding, a major necessity in this day and age. If you're looking for warehouse space for your business, or have simply outgrown your apartment or house and need some extra room, I highly recommend Freeport Self Storage.

Where do I start this place was phenomenal for the 7 months that I used the facility I had absolutely know worries about my possessions being stored there. Every time I stopped in the facility was always spotless and odorless. The staff was pretty cool as well especially Brenda so if your looking for somewhere to store your possessions look no further this is the place...

I have been with Freeport Self Storage for about three years. They have provided me with excellent service with affordable rates. I would like to thank the Staff members Brenda, Cynthia and Roslyn who have helped me throughout the years to manage my affairs within the facility.

After an unexpected death in the family, I found myself suddenly in need of extra storage space. Brenda patiently showed me around and really worked with me explaining the different options and telling me about units that were on sale. I took a unit in the newer building which is climate controlled and immaculate, and spent two months sorting through and finding homes for a very large collection of books. During that time I felt completely comfortable and safe working at the storage unit. Brenda continued looking after me, making sure I had everything I needed, even bringing me hot coffee! These days it’s hard to find customer service that goes above and beyond in exceeding expectations. Glad to see that level of service is alive and well at Freeport Self Storage!

The staff is very friendly. The facility is clean and well maintained. The only complaint I gave is there isn't late access.

Nice clean building, only thing I would change is the hours. I need access to some of my things at different times and after 7pm is the latest on the weekdays and 5pm on sundays are the latest you can go in

David and staff went above and beyond in helping me pick the right size unit at a great cost under extremely short notice. Moving is never easy and the fantastic staff at Freeport Storage made what could have been an extremely stressful situation, an absolute breeze. The facilities are spotless and pristine. I was impressed by the climate control technology of the building, as well as the friendly staff that showed us to our unit. With large doors, elevator wide hallways, and tons of carts available for use, the unloading process was seamless. David even took the time to provide us with some local restaurant recommendations as we were famished after our move! Given the global pandemic, the professionalism and amazing service that Freeport Storage offers makes for one less thing to worry about. I know my goods are safe and well taken care of and needless to say, I will be using Freeport Storage for all of my storage needs moving forward!

It's True! From the employees to the owners everyone is courteous and very helpful ! Nothing like renting a box truck from your own storage rental company! Family Owned and extremely attentive to your needs. Having been a resident and business owner in Freeport for close to 40 years I would recommend David and his crew hands down! Their newest facility is very modern and easy to access and well thought out.... Unlike others in town they don't flood in storms. I have friends that used a company south of merrick road that not only flooded but were not even notified for weeks. Almost all their tenants lost everything they had!

Today so many companies feel that it is acceptable to allow rude or unenthusiastic employees to remain in their employ. This is muy second time using a storage services en this facility. I like the friendly stuff and the cleaning of the storage building.

This company is the real deal! Family owned and operated, they actually care about you and your stuff and work hard to improve every aspect of the experience on a weekly basis. Every other storage place I’ve used has been very corporate and impersonal. Freeport self storage is the total opposite. They have great employees who care about their business. If you live anywhere near here, and need a storage unit this is the place to go.

I rented a moving truck and it couldn’t have been more seamless of a process. Staff was super helpful and the truck was surprisingly big, only needed one trip. Convenient location, nice people, and brand new facility, can’t ask for much more.

My storage unit for work was in Garden City for about 10 years. I just moved to Freeport a year ago and wanted something closer to home. I was nervous about moving because I got so used to the other place. I'm so happy I finally did it! I moved all my supplies about 3-4 months ago and I have no regrets. Honestly, this place is so much cleaner and nicer than any other places I looked at and even my previous storage facility. Actually, I should say super clean! No spiders so far :) It's also more modern in terms of entry systems. I love the fact that I can pull up and use an app on my phone to open the gate!! I hated punching in my code at the other place to enter and exit the grounds. The people that work at Freeport self-storage are always friendly and helpful. Happy I moved!

Freeport Self Storage is a breath of fresh air, a family-owned small business in a sea of large corporate companies as it's competitors. The owners and staff are wonderful, welcoming, helpful, and strive to provide the best storage solution around. They just finished construction of a new facility, keep all of their facilities in great shape, and also offer a moving truck. Their facilities are safe, secure and out of the flood zone in Freeport. I've used them for two different units during a period of a year and a half from 2017 to 2018. I would not hesitate to work with them again and highly, highly recommend them to anyone requiring storage!

I've had a storage unit with Freeport Self Storage for about 10 years. In my experience the rates have always been competitive. A few years ago I had 2 or so late payments and the owner Paul personally called me. After a conversation and understanding he worked with me to change units to something more affordable. I am finally moving into a home and don't need storage anymore, but I would recommend Freeport Self Storage to anyone who needs a clean safe place for their personal belongings.

I purchased a large table and chairs set but knew that I would need to rent a truck in order to pick it up and bring to my house. I called Home Depot and they said truck rentals were on a first come, first serve basis and that on a Sunday it would be difficult to get one. I called Freeport Storage and spoke with Brenda. She was very helpful on the phone and provided all the information. The next day I went in to reserve the truck. A few days later I needed the truck and the whole process was smooth. I Picked up the truck, got the table and brought it home and returned the truck all within an hour. It was worth the $50 and Brenda made it an easy process. I would definitely use them again for small moving needs!
